Your Horse Photoshoot – Holding Onto the Moments That Matter Most
This article explores what’s so important to us and how the horse, is more than just an animal, but s fsmily member and part of our story.

I hope you’re enjoying the early signs of spring. There’s something so lovely about this time of year – the new growth in the garden, the return of colour, and that quiet sense of everything starting again.
The last few weeks, on a global scale, have felt quite different. And I often find that in times like these, we’re gently drawn back to what’s closest to us.
For many of us, that’s our horses.
The one who greets you in the morning with a familiar whinny. The quiet, everyday moments spent together. Time shared with family, friends, and the horses we love.
As my season begins, I’m really looking forward to heading out and creating horse photoshoots for some wonderful clients and their horses – each one with their own story.
There’s Monty, who turns 22 next month, a very special boy, deeply loved. Elijah, a 17-year-old Dutch Warmblood, described by his owner as a kind and gentle soul. And Taffy, a golden oldie at 33, who has been an incredible family pony, just to name a few.
Our horses are more than just animals in our lives.
They are part of our story.
And I think we all know, deep down, that there are moments with them we wish we could hold onto forever – the quiet routines, the trust, the relationship built over time.
A horse photoshoot offers a chance to pause.
To step away from the busyness of daily life and focus on what’s right in front of you.
There’s no pressure for perfection.
No need for anything to be ‘just right.’
Just space to be together, in a place that feels familiar.
From that, something very real and meaningful can be created – timeless images from your horse photoshoot session that reflect your story and your connection.

When you see your portraits every day…
They become daily reminders who you are
and what you have achieved.
Why Now Was the Perfect Time for Maggie’s Horse Photoshoot
It was an absolute delight to recently photograph 8-year-old Maggie and her incredible Dartmoor pony, Razz!
Officially known as Pumphill Rasputin, Razz has had an amazing career in the show ring, competing successfully at both the Horse of the Year Show and the Royal International. Once a stallion (until the age of 9), he’s now 17 and enjoying a more relaxed pace of life. And his newest role? Being the most wonderful companion to his youngest (and tiniest!) jockey yet – Maggie.
