One-to-One Training to Help You Find Your Style, Confidence and Direction
Are you a pet or equine photographer who feels a little stuck?
Perhaps you’re:
If that sounds like you – you’re not alone. And more importantly…
Learn from someone who’s been there.

When I first set out to take my photography seriously, mentoring changed everything for me.
It gave me clarity, direction, and the confidence to move forward – helping me refine my craft, develop my style, and ultimately build the horse portrait business I have today.
Now, as a Master Craftsman photographer, judge, and mentor, it’s something I feel incredibly passionate about passing on.
I’ve judge for the Guild of Photographers, The British Photography Awards and the UK Print Photography Awards. This means I regularly review work at a high level – understanding not just what makes a beautiful image, but what makes a strong one.
I also have a ILM, Mentoring Qualification with the British School of Coaching.
What You’ll Gain From Your Mentoring Session
Every session is completely tailored to you – your level, your goals, and where you feel stuck.
Together, we can work on:
Perhaps you’re:
This isn’t a generic training session. It’s focused, supportive, and designed to help you move forward with clarity.
And many photographers leave these sessions feeling clearer, more confident, and excited to pick up their camera.

Who is it perfect for?
Mentoring would benefit you if you are:
- A pet or equine photographer at any stage
- Looking to move from hobbyist to professional
- Not getting the help you need to progress your craft from your local club/organisation
- Feeling stuck creatively or lacking confidence
- Wanting guidance from someone who understands your niche.

A Friendly, Supportive Environment
I know how daunting it can feel to share your work.
My approach is always honest, but encouraging -giving you clear direction while building your confidence at the same time.
Because sometimes, all it takes is someone experienced looking at your work and saying:
‘You’re closer than you think.‘

CALLIE SODEN
PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR
PET PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR
Emma has been absolutely instrumental in my journey of becoming a successful photographer.
I felt like a nervous mess the first time we talked, but I had no reason to feel that way!
Her always positive attitude and encouraging words have been helpful beyond measure. I now look forward to our chats every month and have tried to implement all of her suggestions every time I shoot, and edit a photo.
The improvement I’ve seen in the year since she started mentoring me is just insane!
Thank you Emma, I couldn’t have done it without you! There is a little nugget of wisdom that she has given me in all of my photos now!

HORSE PHOTOGRAPHER
Recommended to anyone wanting to improve!
I had a feedback session with Emma and I would recommend to anyone considering it and wanting to improve. I feel even more excited and energised to go out and take lots of horse (and dog but mainly horse) pictures!
It’s funny how obvious little mistakes are when they are pointed out, I get so caught up in the picture that I forget to check for the basics.
If you’d like to feel this same clarity and confidence in your work, you can book your session here.
