Dog Portrait Photography in the Lake District and Cumbria

Dog Portrait Photography in the Lake District and Cumbria

This article explains Emma Campbell’s Dog Portrait Sessions in Cumbria and the Lake District, including why dog photography is a natural extension of her horse portrait work, what to expect from a relaxed dog photoshoot, and how clients can include both horses and dogs in one beautiful portrait session.

For many years, my portrait work has centred around horses and the incredible relationships we share with them.

But if you have horses, there is a very good chance you may have a dog or two in your life as well. And over the years, one question has come up again and again from my horse-owning clients:

‘Do you photograph dogs too?

The answer is now yes.

Alongside my horse portrait sessions, I’m delighted to be offering a limited number of dedicated Dog Portrait Sessions for couples and families in Cumbria and the Lake District.

A Natural Extension of My Portrait Work

Dogs have often been part of my equine and family portrait sessions over the years. They might be running around the yard, sitting proudly beside their owner, or joining in with the horses as part of the family.

So offering dedicated dog photography felt like a very natural next step.

Just like my horse portraits, my dog sessions are relaxed, carefully planned and designed to celebrate the character of your dog and the relationship you share.

Whether we photograph them in the Lake District landscape, somewhere meaningful to you, or even at home, the aim is to create beautiful, natural portraits that feel personal to you.

Horse, Dog, or Both?

And if you have both a horse and a dog, you do not have to choose between them.

One of the lovely things about these sessions is that we can include your horse and dog together, creating one beautiful portrait that celebrates the animals who are such a huge part of your life.

Whether your dog is your constant companion at the yard, your walking buddy, or simply part of the family, they can be included in your portrait experience.

Because often, it is not just one animal who means the world to us – it is the whole little team around us.

Finished Artwork for Your Home

As with my horse portrait sessions, the final photographs are designed to become beautiful artwork for your home.

Your portraits deserve to be seen and enjoyed every day, not left hidden away on a phone or computer.

Whether you would love one statement piece, a collection of fine art prints, or something that includes both your horse and dog together, I will guide you through the whole experience.
