Such a special horse

“He’s such a special horse,” commented Emma, “so I’m really pleased to see Murphy’s portrait getting worldwide recognition.”

Home bred and owned by Paul and Debbie Hutchinson – Cartmel, based near Greystoke, this gentle Appaloosa giant, officially known as, ‘Foxwood Murphy’, has enjoyed an incredible career, competing successfully with Debbie at the Great Yorkshire and Cheshire County Shows, as well as qualifying for Royal International Horse Show.

“Murphy has been photographed many times, especially in the show ground” commented Debbie, ‘but never has an image really focused on his personality. It’s such a powerful photograph, that really shows his kind soul. We absolutely love it.”

Murphy is now enjoying a wonderful retirement with Tracey Oliphant.

Chromatic Photography Awards

An international competition of color photography open to both professionals and amateurs.
The image was assessed by international judges from around the world and also now appears in their Annual Chromatic Awards book, together with all the other international winners.
