Beauty and Power – Horse Photography Feature

North Lakes Living - Cumbrian Supplement

Horse Photography Feature

Delighted to have been included in the lastest edition on North Lakes Living and for one of my photographs take front cover.

The feature focused on my work over the last few years as a horse photographer and now also a judge.

The front cover was located near the Caldbeck fells and included my amazing model Connie and her beautiful Connemara pony Flip.

Time for reflection

Launching a business full-time can be scary. I think it took me ten years to finally make the push. Helping Emily, the editor of the Westmorland and Herald, create this article really also helped me reflect at the end of this season.

I took the mantra not to say no, even though many things were scary. (That word again!) I pushed myself again and again out of my comfort zone.

I began judging and, amongst my idols, performed live judging at Click Live. I started mentoring others and supporting them on their personal learning journeys. And I’ve travelled further afield from home to capture some very wonderful, caring people who, through love, kindness, and trust, have built the most incredible and unique relationships with their horses.  To capture their bonds and help savour their connection for a very long time, has just been the icing on the cake.

This year has been very busy and hard work, but I’m proud of what I have done and the amount of people I’ve reached to help.  Let’s see what 2025 will bring.

Thank you Westmorland and Herald for a lovely article.
